Never underestimate the power of a single seed

"The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field.  Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and perch in its branches."  Matthew 13:31-32 

Starting in 1998 from a small seed of prayer and vision, the Single Adults Department of Black Oak Heights Baptist Church has grown from a small group of faithful individuals to a large dynamic, and caring part of the Black Oak Heights church family.

We are a varied group of never-married singles and divorced singles , age 30 and over who know and understand the special needs and concerns of single adults and single parents in today's world.  Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we seek to provide love, fellowship, and support to single adults within our church and community.

Through earnest, in-depth Bible study, we strive to offer a Christ-centered environment for singles searching for spiritual nourishment and growth.  In addition, we regularly offer fun and creative social activities focused on Christian fellowship and bonding.

We are a unique and caring group of Christian singles who have grown together through tragedy and celebration and who desire to share our special spiritual connection with other singles in search of something more.  We welcome you to come and be a part of an encouraging Christian environment.
