Rev. Steve Ross has been Senior Pastor at Black Oak Heights Baptist Church since December 4, 2005. Bro. Steve has more than 30 years pastoral experience. He has a wonderful family including a supportive wife, Lady Beth and two daughters, ages 23 and 15. He has received a Bachelor of Biblical Studies from Clear Creek Baptist College and a Master of Divinity from Moody Bible Institute. Additionally, he has attended the Billy Graham School of Evangelism, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and Luther Rice Seminary, (known for expository preaching and counseling education. The membership of Black Oak Heights Baptist Church is excited about what God is doing through the able leadership of Rev. Steve Ross. His personality, leadership training, and experience have prepared him to lead Black Oak Heights to the next level of spiritual and numerical growth. Bro. Steve’s personal passion is to see the local church grow through seeing people within the community come to know Christ in a personal way.
