The music ministry of Black Oak Heights Baptist Church exists to provide opportunities to use our musical talents and spiritual giftedness in genuine praise and worship to reach Knoxville and beyond for Jesus Christ.

              The Celebration Choir sings in the Sunday morning worship service, occasional Sunday evenings, and special events.  The choir also presents special programs including Christmas, Easter, and the Fourth of July celebration.  The "Living Cross" presentation is our program of music and drama depicting the tremendous sacrifice of Jesus on the cross and His jubilant resurrection from the tomb.  This is traditionally presented the weekend following Easter each year.

               We rehearse each Wednesday evening at 6:30 in the choir room located downstairs in Room 215.  Each rehearsal contains element of anthem learning, praying together, and great fellowship.  A wide variety of music is rehearsed from contemporary to choral classics.  This is not an auditioned choir and visitors are welcome!

If both parents are involved in Wednesday evening choir rehearsal or if you are a single parent, we have extended childcare during our rehearsal.  Please contact the church office for additional information.
