 AWANA

Awana is a Bible-centered youth program that meets every Sunday night during the school year from 4:45-7:00, for children ages 3 through 5th grade. They memorize scripture, have game time, a short message and refreshments.  It is our belief that if we teach our children to hide God's Word in their hearts, they will be better equipped to handle life difficulties as they grow.

YOUTH MINISTRY

Our Ministry exists to INTRODUCE 6-12 grade students to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to MINISTER to others, to PRAISE God's name, to APPLY God's truths to our lives, and to CONNECT with one another.

We look forward to you joining us at IMPAC Sunday School, IMPAC Connections, or IMPAC Celebration.  A place where God is making a difference in the lives of youth.

WOMEN'S MINISTRY

The women at Black Oak Heights are represented in many different areas. They participate in bereavement committees which provide meals for families who have lost loved ones, and they also are able to activate a prayer chain upon request.

The Women's Mission & Prayer Group (WMP) allows our women the opportunity to come together to plan and implement many areas of service.  Mission projects, nursing home outreach, a card ministry for our shut-ins and our people in need of prayer are just a few ways you can serve. WMP is led by Susan Vanderford.

The Baptist Young Women (BYW) is Black Oak Heights' newest women's ministry.  This ministry provides our younger ladies with the opportunity to meet monthly to develop projects and to hear speakers share about opportunities for outreach. BYW is led by JoAnn Haynes.
